Workshops

A view of the National Theatre from Waterloo Bridge

Get into London Theatre 2010 workshops are now over but due to popular demand we’re planning to organise more for Get into London Theatre 2011. If you didn’t take part, read below to find out what went on.

From 5 to 21 January 2010 we offered Get into London Theatre ticket holders the chance to gain a unique insight into London’s theatre scene by taking part in an exclusive West End workshop for only £5.

We held three workshops a week in acting, singing and dancing for up to 30 people aged 18+. All workshops were led by West End professionals and took place in the early evening allowing participants to see a show that same night.

Here’s some of the positive feedback we’ve received from participants:

"I think the workshops are a fabulous way for ordinary people to get a taste of what it is like to be part of a show. Next time I see Mamma Mia! I will be restlessly tapping out the sequence with my feet, wanting to get up on stage myself!"

"I’m quite a shy person and I’ve never acted before but this workshop was outrageously fun and inspiring."

"I had a great time at the singing workshop. Very fun and very informative, and I would without doubt attend a similar workshop again in the future."

We offered three workshops per week in:

  • Joined Up Thinking

Don your dancing gear and throw caution to the wind as you tap your feet to the beat and learn how to move like a West End dancer.
